This project consisted of expanding the existing concrete apron (FAA) and building a new concrete taxilane (MDOT Multi-Modal) for future corporate hangar development. The Airport has seen significant growth over the past decade going from a 3,998' x 75' runway to a 5,500' x 100' runway and an increase in based aircraft from approximately 30 to 100+/-. With all of the improvements and additional based aircraft the Airport was out of available build sites for corporate hangars. With the completion of this project the Airport has signed a new lease for a new corporate tenant that will construction of a new hangar within the next couple of months. Additionally, the Airport is in discussions with another operator that wants to build a large corporate hangar on the newly constructed apron with the possibility of a side door on the new taxilane.
